When you have the chance to grow up in the islands, you develop a unique relationship with nature. This is the case for Victoria Vergara, a 26-year-old professional longboarder and model. This mermaid, who was nurtured by the gentle lifestyle of Reunion Island and New Caledonia, has preserved from her childhood a total connection with the elements. Starting with water, of course, on which she gracefully dances with her surfboard.
Longboarding is a gliding discipline derived from surfing, with a more aesthetic than athletic approach. Instead of charging into a barrel and carving impressive maneuvers, the longboarder gracefully glides on the wave, playing with their board while defying their balance. It is a practice where harmony with the forces of nature is essential. A true moment of grace.
Graceful and slender, young Victoria quickly stood out in this sport. After her introduction to local competitions, she enjoyed many moments of glory, already suggesting that her career would be beautiful and enduring. Here she is settled in Hossegor, the surfing capital of France par excellence, as a professional longboarder. From her home base, she shines worldwide - when the situation is normal - conquering the most beautiful waves on the planet and reaching the highest step of the podium.
A globe trotter at heart, Victoria Vergara never forgets to take care of herself. The young woman retains from her years in the islands some simple and natural beauty rituals:
"Having grown up very close to nature and surrounded by tropical gardens, I learned to use the plants around me as skincare. Aloe Vera for treating acne and sunburn, hibiscus for regenerating masks, coconut for its moisturizing benefits...
At Holidermie, she chooses the targeted eye treatment "Régénération ciblée"— which she applies using the rose quartz DuoRoller — and the protective mist "Activation antioxydante" that keeps her feeling hydrated throughout the day.
Her essential gesture?
"Sunscreen, rain or shine, of course!." A cosmetic that, more than any other, must be environmentally friendly. When swimming or surfing, the sunscreen residues on the skin spread into the water. However, marine ecosystems have no defense against these chemical substances that gradually endanger the aquatic environment. It is precisely with this in mind that Holidermie developed its first range of HoliSun sun care products. A range that is as respectful of the skin as of the marine environment, thanks to its natural formulas with limited filters, providing a tanned and lasting complexion with peace of mind and a clear conscience. Victoria has already adopted this complete protection routine, seduced by its effectiveness and the delicately scented tiare flower veil that envelops her skin upon application.
While waiting for competitions to resume, Victoria Vergara trains daily in the water and on her yoga mat, two rituals that keep her physically and mentally fit.
