Crucial for the physical and mental recovery of the body, sleep helps strengthen cognitive functions and the immune system. In cases of occasional insomnia and/or mild sleep disorders, active ingredients used in phytotherapy and aromatherapy offer effective alternatives to sleeping pills without causing dependence. They act in particular on stress and anxiety, factors that negatively influence the mechanisms of falling asleep, and counter the harmful environmental effects on our circadian rhythm (blue light, noise, urban stress, etc.).

Regarding the skin, collagen synthesis and blood flow increase during sleep, and cellular regeneration reaches its peak around 1 a.m. Quality sleep is therefore essential to allow the skin to regenerate after the aggressions suffered during the day and wake up with a fresh and rested complexion.

  • To accustom your body and mind to a good sleep rhythm, it is important to respect the same bedtime and wake-up time every day, including on weekends. Test different combinations based on your habits and rhythm until you find the one that suits you best! 
  • At least two hours before your bedtime, switch your phone to airplane mode and avoid screens that emit blue light, which stimulates the retina and nervous system. 
  • If possible, avoid consuming stimulating drinks (alcohol, coffee, tea) and opt for a light meal, finishing at least 1 hour before bedtime. 
  • Give yourself some quiet time - it can be just 15 minutes - and prepare a herbal tea with the sleep powder or an infusion that promotes relaxation, and light a candle. Sit comfortably in a cross-legged position on a cushion or on your bed with your back straight. 
  • With your eyes closed, take a deep breath, hold it for a few seconds, then exhale completely. Repeat twice. Savor your warm drink mindfully: if thoughts arise, let them pass without holding onto them. Blow out your candle... you are ready for the land of dreams!
