The combination of vitamins C & E, beta-carotene, lycopene and grape seed supports the skin's natural defenses against UV-induced damage.
Borage Oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, the main constituents of the hydrolipidic film. The hydrolipidic film acts as a first barrier against external aggression, and helps combat dryness caused by prolonged exposure to the sun.
Beta carotene is a carotenoid naturally extracted from Dunaliella salina algae. It binds oxygen, limiting cell oxidation and protecting vitamin E. It is the precursor of vitamin A, known to protect the skin.
Tomato Lycopene works in synergy with beta-carotene to reinforce its antioxidant action. L-Tyrosine is the natural precursor of melanin. This molecule, responsible for skin pigmentation and therefore tanning, absorbs a large proportion of UV rays. It therefore acts as both a filter and a sunscreen.
Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, promotes the normal formation of collagen, counterbalancing the deleterious effect of UV rays on the skin's support cells. The skin retains its firmness and density.
Selenium is a trace element with antioxidant properties. It contributes to cell protection against oxidative stress, thus limiting premature cell ageing.
OPC, the polyphenols found in grape seeds, have remarkable antioxidant properties. They are powerful free-radical scavengers, helping to reduce the damage caused by oxidative stress.
Centella Asiatica aids healing, prevents skin slackening and soothes sensitive, dry or damaged skin. It also has anti-aging properties, promoting collagen synthesis and improving microcirculation.
Vitamin E is present in all the body's cells: it protects their membranes from destruction caused by exposure to oxygen, and also possesses anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This super-vitamin protects skin cells from premature aging.
Zinc plays a role in the cell division process, and therefore in tissue regeneration. It helps protect cells against oxidative stress and promotes the maintenance of normal skin, and is an essential trace element for the proper functioning of epidermal cells.
